High Quality. Stunning Design.

For Landscape Architecture that specialises in creative residential & rural garden design and unique outdoor furniture.

At Land Art Canberra we are a boutique Landscape Architecture practice with a key focus on residential and rural garden design. Since 1990 we’ve planned beautiful and creative gardens along with custom designed furniture. As such we’ve created a broad portfolio of work that has encompassed small courtyard spaces, established homes & gardens, new homes with a ‘clean slate’ block and rural properties in the ACT and surrounding NSW regions.

Services

We offer friendly unbiased advice, master planning and detailed drawings. This will assist in the ultimate aim of creating a beautiful relaxing garden. I’m happy to help along the way and create designs for classical elegance, natural beauty or contemporary flair.

Creative problem solving

Whether it’s an old garden in need of a makeover, with existing plants & structures to work around, or the clean slate of a new block. See exciting solutions for all sorts of spaces. Whether it is a difficult site or there are tight & narrow spaces. Maybe areas overlooked by neighbours or a steep block requiring creative solutions to retaining. You may be considering pool options, shade structures, an entertaining area and the like.

Landscape Plans

Let us develop a plan that will not only show how the garden will look, but is clear and detailed. This will enable yourself or landscape contractor, to construct from. The process of residential & rural garden design begins with a detailed site survey, then progresses to concept plans & perspective sketches, construction cost estimates, & if required, amendments and the finalisation of a master plan.

The right advice

I’ll talk you through the advantages and disadvantages of different materials & construction methods that will be best value for money and what might be a DIY option or where the right contractor or machine can come in handy. What works require approval, how to build a quality deck, cleverly design a pool area, how much material to order, find the right plant, and much more.

Creation

At the end of the day, our ultimate aim is the same, I’ll also wish to see, enjoy & be proud of your garden for now & into the future. Browse the gallery for ideas and creative solutions and if you would be interested in a quote, please call or drop me an e-mail. Cheers Paul

Based on our initial ideas, Paul provided us a design that was innovative, practical and value for money. He was very easy to work with, friendly and highly professional. We highly recommend him’.

'To say we are more then happy with the result is an understatement!...Paul considered every little detail and the end result is everything we hoped for and then some! We have no hesitation in recommending Paul to future clients'.

'We found Paul to be the perfect person to design our whole yard. Someone who at last listened to what we want to achieve…. When we were presented with the overall plan of what the whole garden would look like, we loved it. We could see what our “blank slate of a yard” would look like in the future. He discussed each section (with fantastic drawings) so we could visualise the end result.
